3. Check your internet connection
Besides Dead by Daylight launching, freezing, or crashing errors, some users are experiencing random disconnections from the game, and others are unable to connect to a server or they won’t find any players available to play the game with. Another Dead by Daylight issue with the servers is that players can’t connect to a lobby which makes Dead by Daylight lobby issues annoying. Every time they try to join one, it fails, and they need to keep pressing the Join Lobby button a lot of times until the loading screen appears. Others have party creation failed dbd issue or even could not connect to rtm server in Dead by Daylight.
Even if you have a good internet connection with an average speed of 50 MB/s, you might complain of lag in the server, disconnections, and a very low ping of 10-20. - First, you need to make sure that your internet connection is working properly and that you have a good internet speed with no disconnections.
- Try to play the game directly with your internet cable plugged into your PC and don’t use Wi-Fi, this way your internet speed will double.
- Close applications that require the internet like Skype, Messenger, and also Chrome.
- Consider restarting the wifi router if you’re using wifi.
- You can also try flushing your DNS which will help with stability or even increase latency potential.

- Open Task Manager (Shift + Ctrl + Esc)
- Check the columns for CPU, Memory, and Disk under the Processes tab. Your computer is using a lot of resources and working extremely hard if any of these columns are going to hit 100%.
- Select an application that is eating your CPU and you don’t require it, and click the End Task button to close it.
5. Verify the integrity Cache of the game
To verify the integrity Cache of the game, you can easily do this by going to the Steam Library, right-clicking on the game, and selecting properties. Here go to the Local Files Tab and you will find the option there. Beware that it might take a long time to do this, almost a couple of hours.

The issue I am currently facing is not crashes or performance issues but my game progression and saves.
Any perks, offerings, points and character levels I earn are only valid for one game session for me. When I start a new gaming session and decide to play again I am reverted back to level 1 with nothing I have earned previously. I had the same issue during the beta. Every time I open the game it forces me to comply to the games EULA and offers to show me the tutorials.
It’s not just me having these issues either, I asked for help on the creators twitter page and created a discussion on the steam forums with someone responding that they have the same issue as me.
i am facing this issue as well i will try your tip
A follow up on the fix. It appears changing your steam alias playing a round then reverting your alias back seems to fix it. I did this as well as the other steam user having issues our games is saving data as intended. Hopefully helps some others.
